1ST ANNUAL LCS CROSS COUNTRY CLINIC & FUN RUN
Please join us at the first annual Lighthouse Christian School Cross Country Clinic & Fun Run!
The clinic is open to any LCS student currently in K-6th grades, no running or cross-country experience is necessary. This will be a great event for any student who is:
- currently on our cross-country team
- interested in learning more about cross-country or joining our team next year
- wanting to be healthy, get some exercise, and stay in shape
- looking for a fun weekend activity for the whole family!
When: Saturday, May 12th, 2018
9:30 – 11:30 am (check-in begins at 9am)
Where: LCS Athletic Fields (check-in & pick-up @ football field)
Who: Any LCS K-6th Grade Student (Parents and siblings are welcome to come and stay and watch, and run in the fun run as well!)
What: At the clinic, runners will rotate in age-groups through running/fitness drills that are focused on teaching them about cross country and how to become better runners/athletes (with water breaks in-between). The final 30 minutes will be a 1 mile “fun-run” race around the LCS athletic fields. First, second, and third place runners will get a medal, and all runners will get a prize upon finishing the race!
We are excited to have three guest coaches, Brad Lance, Rebekah Kirk, and Jeff Salyers, helping us at the clinic, all of who are bringing a wealth of cross-country experience and knowledge! In addition, all of the LCS XC Coaching Staff & “Student Coaches” from the MSHS XC team will be at the clinic and assisting with runner supervision and drills!
Price: $10 per child (due with registration)
