FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Shaun Bell Named Lighthouse Christian School Athletic Director & Head Football Coach

Lighthouse Christian School is hiring Lancaster Christian Academy’s Shaun Bell as its Athletic Director and Head Football Coach. After serving in many capacities and as the football team's Offensive Coordinator over the last seven years at Lancaster, Shaun Bell will bring an impressive resume along with him to Lighthouse Athletics and the community. Coach Bell has proven to be a valuable leader and is well-respected across the Tennessee State Independent Athletic Association. Bell’s exciting, up tempo, and charismatic brand of football with effort, intensity, and positive enthusiasm is sure to excite the Lighthouse Community and Lions Athletics.

Bell has spent the last seven years serving as the Offensive Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach for the Lancaster Christian Academy High School Football Team. He was a part of a staff that was dedicated to build a program that valued hard work, preparation, discipline, integrity, loyalty, honesty, but most importantly Christ-Like character. During Bell’s time at Lancaster the football program has won the 2014 NACA 11-Man Football Championship and Bell was selected to coach in the 2020 National High School All-American Game. He also played a pivotal role in Lancaster’s last three seasons of playoff runs in the TSIAA. Bell has successfully helped his high school athletes reach the collegiate level through sports scholarships.

Coach Bell has been a part of the Middle Tennessee Community for over 20 years. He played High School Football at Riverdale High School under one of the most high-profile names in Tennessee football history, Gary Rankin. During his playing days at Riverdale, Bell was a part of the 2004 State Championship team losing only 3 games. Bell would then go on to graduate from Middle Tennessee State University in May 2014.

Lighthouse Christian School’s Athletic Administrator/Operations Director, Kate Cardinale admits that finding someone with the talent, humility and desire to speak into the lives of these kids is a rare find. Cardinale said that there was stiff competition out there and Bell was well sought after. Cardinale said ultimately the ball was in Bell’s court and we just waited. We were thrilled when Coach Bell responded that he and his family had made the decision to come to Lighthouse.

“I would sincerely like to thank Lighthouse Christian School for giving me the opportunity to become the Athletic Director and Head Football Coach at Lighthouse Christian School,” Bell said. “My family and I are thrilled to be a part of the LCS community on every level. I am excited to be given the opportunity to take the LCS Athletic Program to new levels and look forward to building on the foundation of Christ.”

Bell resides in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He is married to Natalie, his wife of 8 years. They have 2 children, one boy, Lincoln (6) and one girl, Story (2).

Lighthouse Christian School is excited to have Shaun Bell join their outstanding team!
