Carlton Battle

Carlton Battle, a Nashville native, brings over 20 years of coaching experience to LCS. Battle spent 15 years as the director and coach of the Team Nashville basketball club, which yielded Division I and professional athletes. This is in addition to a year at the Cumberland University as Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach!

Mr. Battle’s educational background includes 10 years of teaching and administrative roles in both the public and private sectors. In the past, he has taught math and science, in addition to serving as Dean of Students, and Assistant Principal. More recently, Battle has spent 4 years reviving the Whites Creek High School boys’ basketball team. Acquiring the team with a 0-23 season, he built a program putting focus on hard work, discipline, honesty, and integrity. Under Battle’s leadership, the team went on to win three state championships, in addition to multiple post-season titles. Battle’s dedication and up-tempo approach to athletics bring a new level of enthusiasm to the Lighthouse Christian community!

Mr. Battle lives in Nashville, with his wife Cristen, of 13 years. They have three children—a young daughter, Riley, and two sons (Ryan and Reece) who attend Lighthouse. Coach Battle is excited to be serving at LCS!
